Costa Rica
We are thrilled to present our newest Latin American partner, The Harmony Music School in Pochote, Costa Rica in the enchanting Ballena Bay!
Established in 2008, the Harmony Music School was originally developed to help the local children get an opportunity that just couldn’t have happened without some help: Classical music training in string instruments including the violin and cello. International students have been working with local children, learning to speak Spanish and volunteering at local organizations with great success.
Don and Terry-Lee Thomson, founders of the Harmony Music School (HMS), are now opening their doors to ALL volunteers willing to lend a hand in a variety of projects supported or initiated by HMS in the area.

Beachfront, rustic, dorm-style accommodations are suitable for everyone from individuals to large groups. On-site kitchen facilities are in keeping with other DAVIVA locations that offer a room and three meals a day included in the fee.
A new on-site restaurant and art gallery, along with large common areas offers flexibility for a variety of activities. Beach sports are encouraged and your bilingual Canadian born hosts will help you (but not rescue you!) with your Spanish learning.
